Terms of Service.

Introduction

Koinivo is operated under the registered business name Koinivo Campus Technologies. These Terms cover the Koinivo website, First Wave registration and dashboard, and app features made available to you. By submitting a registration or using an available service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

Koinivo is being introduced to the Nile University community. Registration expresses interest. It does not guarantee admission to a pilot, a main-app account, an organization appointment, a launch date, or access to any feature.

Eligibility

Initial student First Wave registration is limited to people aged 18 or older. You must affirm that you meet this rule when registering; we do not ask for your date of birth. Student-facing features are intended for the supported campus community. Other eligibility requirements may apply to individual app features.

Give accurate information and do not claim an academic identity, executive role, organization affiliation, or authority to represent a business that you do not hold. Koinivo may require verification before enabling a role-dependent feature.

Accounts & Authentication

First Wave uses email verification and, for eligible verified students, emailed dashboard access links. Keep your email account and login links secure. Do not share an access link or use another person’s account. Verifying an email confirms control of that address; it does not verify student status or grant an executive role. A First Wave dashboard session is separate from a main-app account.

Acceptable Use

Use Koinivo lawfully and respectfully. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, defraud, spam, manipulate referrals, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, or post content that infringes another person’s rights. Do not disclose another person’s private information without an appropriate basis.

Where posting, messaging, stories or media features are available, you are responsible for what you submit. You retain rights you hold in your content and permit Koinivo to host, process and display it as needed to provide the feature to its selected audience. Other people may be able to copy or record content they can see. Koinivo may restrict or remove content to enforce these Terms, protect users, or comply with law.

Student Organizations & Dues

A student-body or vendor interest form does not establish an organization, approve a business, certify a vendor, or confer an executive role. Organization roles and access in the app depend on the applicable verification and authorization process.

Where dues, clearance, paid events or tickets are offered, the relevant amount, organization, academic period, event conditions and payment steps should be shown before payment. An attempted payment is not proof of successful payment or clearance; authoritative server-side records control the result. Payment services may involve an external processor. Refund, cancellation and dispute conditions must be presented for the relevant transaction and remain subject to applicable law.

Event organizers and vendors are responsible for their own offerings and representations. Check the conditions presented for a particular event or offering before participating.

First Wave Participation

Students can submit a name and email, confirm that they are 18 or older, and verify the email to participate in First Wave. Vendors and student-body representatives can submit their respective interest forms. Koinivo may use submissions to assess demand and manage requests. Optional promotional marketing requires a separate affirmative choice.

Koinivo may limit or close registration, review submissions for abuse, and set pilot capacity and eligibility. Joining or verifying does not guarantee an invitation or commercial opportunity.

Referrals & Reward Campaigns

Only eligible, verified referrals count toward First Wave milestones. Self-referrals, duplicate, fraudulent or invalidated registrations do not qualify. Koinivo may review and correct counts when enforcing these rules.

Two verified referrals may support priority consideration for early access, without guaranteeing access. Five may support potential food-voucher eligibility and ten may support potential faculty dinner-ticket eligibility, only if the relevant campaign is activated and its published conditions are met. Physical reward campaigns are currently disabled. A threshold does not automatically allocate or issue cash, merchandise, a voucher, or a ticket. Any future campaign may have limited inventory and separate eligibility, claim and expiry rules.

Platform Availability & Modification

Koinivo may change, suspend or discontinue features, especially during a pilot. Availability can depend on campus, organization, eligibility, device and operational conditions. Koinivo may restrict an account or submission when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect people or the service, enforce these Terms, or comply with law.

Intellectual Property

Koinivo’s name, branding, software and service materials belong to their respective rights holders. You may use an available service for its intended purpose. These Terms do not transfer ownership or permit unauthorized copying or commercial exploitation. The content permission above is limited to operating the service.

Liability & Disclaimers

Koinivo aims to provide reliable services but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or the accuracy of every user, organizer or vendor statement. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Koinivo is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control. Nothing here removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These Terms are governed by applicable Nigerian law. If a concern arises, contact Koinivo at support@koinivo.com. This does not prevent you from using a regulator, court or other remedy available under law.
